Doing more with the same number of people, not with less

Why automation is the future

In today’s market, staff shortages and an aging population are becoming an increasing problem. Companies are struggling to find enough workers, while productivity must remain high to compete. This brings us to a crucial question: how can companies do more with the same number of people? The answer lies in automation.

Automation is not a threat, but a solution

When the topic “automation” comes up, there is often a fear machines will replace jobs. Many workers are afraid they will become redundant and lose their jobs. But nothing could be further from the truth. Instead of replacing jobs, automation helps companies work more efficiently and allow workers to focus on more important tasks.

Machines take over repetitive, physical tasks, while people focus on tasks that require their expertise and creativity. This not only increases productivity, but also makes work more interesting and challenging for employees.

Take, for example, the advent of computers in the 1980s and 1990s. At the time, many thought computers would replace many jobs. What happened, however? Not only did the number of jobs remain the same, but countless new jobs and functions were added. Computers changed the nature of work, created new opportunities and made companies more efficient. The same thing is happening now with automation in manufacturing and production environments; it offers opportunities to increase production and continue to innovate.

Not an option but a necessity

A recent article by MetaalNieuws states that labor productivity in the industry must increase by 50% in 10 years(!) to be economically and socially relevant and internationally competitive. A confirmation automation is no longer an option, but even an indispensable step to remain future-proof as a manufacturing company. The key lies in far-reaching automation and robotization.

Automating your internal logistics

Advanced machines such as robots and cobots require large investments that must be recouped, and therefore these machines must run as much as possible. Without automation, this is almost impossible. At KUMATECH, we offer solutions to fully automate your internal logistic processes with our AGVs (Automated Guided Vehicles), Pallet Dispensers and modular storage systems.

Our AGVs ensure that supply and removal of materials runs smoothly, without interrupting the production process. This allows your machines to run continuously, which not only increases productivity but also maximizes your investments. Pallets on which goods and semi-finished products are transported can be safely and efficiently stacked and picked from our pallet dispensers, saving space and time.

With our automated storage systems, materials are efficiently managed and prepared for use, reducing lead time and further optimizing productivity.

One step at a time

We understand that full automation of your internal logistics doesn’t have to happen all at once. Thanks to our modular solutions, you can achieve this step by step, gradually working toward a fully automated process – at the pace that suits your business. We are happy to guide and advise you in this process.

Companies that automate invest in their future and their employees.
